What Does the Libero Sheet Fed Actually Do?
The Libero nailhead machine has three main components. The first is a current state of the art PC that comes with and runs the machine. Using the ultra fast and innovative Crystal CAD you custom design your customers logos in a matter of minutes!
Crystal CAD allows you to do in seconds what take minutes on other software programs like Corel, Adobe Illustrator and can’t even be compared to the Free Software on the market. Other companies use older autocad like programs that have ZERO artistic capabilities, none of the creative tools, none of the innovative designs tools etc. The point is that in America or anywhere for that matter youneed to be able to make an amazing design in a matter of minutes, period.
Also unlike other software out there, Crystal CAD actually creates the “ready to go” needed for the Libero or Motif Maker Machine. (See the software link webpage for more details)
What Art can I do in Rhinestones?
You can take any image or logo and convert it into a hot-fix heat transfer in a matter of minutes by clicking your mouse on certain tools and functions. This software is user friendly and can be learned in one day. With a little practice you will be able to make most any designs in just a few minutes. This is what your design might look like on the PC before the Libero actually makes it

The PC is what also communicates with the Libero and tells it what elements to place and where. There is also a software called Robostrass which keeps track of jobs and organizes the days jobs etc. It can control one or multiple Libero’s in a network.
Now it gets fun, the Libero machines have 4 or more independent element stations. Each station is interchangeable and color coded, so you can adjust according to the various types and sizes of decorative elements you want to use (Fig 1 & 2)
When you press start on the PC an incredibly accurate and lightning speed robotic arm picks up an element and then places them every second or at 3600 stones or crystals per hour, perfectly day in day out. (This is a verifiable production speed!!!!)
The Libero machine places your decorative elements on a transparency film (Yellow square in Fig 3) that will become your actual heat transfer. The Transfer paper automatically moves left under the setting area and the job begins.
The robotic arm (see the left arm in Fig 1 and the identical arm on the right in Fig 2) precisely positions and places each and every element on to the sticky side of the heat transfer paper.
You then press it with the dry film to secure each stone properly. The actual application on the garment takes place with a heat transfer press and in a few seconds it's done.

It is important to know that you simply load up each station with your choice of stones or elements as we call them and let the machine do the rest. Think about it, this is a great way to eliminate your competition and charge a 20% or 30% RUSH premium on an order. Let's face it, some of your customers are disorganized, others just plain need a RUSH service and yet others have a real emergency they need fulfilled. How Long Do the Designs Last?
Do I Need to Take Special Care of Them When Washing?
  Hot fix means that the items have an adhesive on the rear that is activated by heat. The materials can be processed on all types of textiles. All articles are washable up to 60 degrees and dry clean resistant. No warranty is offered on the longevity because we have no control over the nature of the application, the quality of the heat transfer press being used, the operators who is applying the transfer or the customer who washes the garment. How Fast is it?
Your work area is 11.5" by 19.5" This is a 2" star:
I am going to use this as an example. You will be able to get about 5 rows and 9 columns of stars. If each star has 30 elements in it (regardless of size only the # is important) then that totals 1890 elements that need to be placed on the transfer paper. As soon as you press RUN on the PC the Libero takes over and starts putting stones down. Once every second or 3600 per hour. If your job has a total of 1890 elements than the Libero will be finished this job in under 40 minutes!
Remember the machine runs by itself, your operator only needs to make sure that the supply in each station is sufficient and that the transfer paper is changed from time to time, with the Libero endless it’s a thing of the past!
How Much Does a Design Cost?
Design costs depend on the choice of elements. For example this Cherry logo in Swarovski brand crystals might have a retail cost of $2.75. If you were to choose machine cut crystal then the price would approximately half $1.25. If you used rhinestuds (which from 3 feet away you can't tell if it is a crystal or rhinestuds) then the cost would be about $0.20.

How does it work?

- The operator places transfer foil/paper on the work surface.
- The PC program is loaded and start is pressed.
- The work surface with the transfer paper moves in to the setting position.
- Depending on the design the various robotic arms pluck stones from the setting station and places each stone perfectly glue side up.
- The entire process is computer controlled & monitored to ensure not one single stone is missed! It evens knows if a stone is missing and replaces it!
- When design/s are completed the work surface returns to home position and the transfer paper with your design is removed and ready for applying.
- The process begins again and can run day or night unsupervised most of the time. Just check periodically and remove completed designs. If you can work a fax machine or clear a paper jam in a photo copier you can learn to use this machine, its that simple.
Designing With CrystalCAD Software
The design creation takes place via a simple, fun and easy-to-use CAD program designed specifically for this application. Any design can be scanned and digitized. The program reworks the new vector design and displays a simulation on your screen for viewing.
Now with one mouse click, the program starts. Before you output you can always inspect a full scale print out so that you prevent mistakes. The transfer program can be saved on a floppy, CD or a computer network. The program consists of two modules and is included with the machine. Complete in person training, manuals and support are provided on site. You can even keep the software up to date with a subscription that will give you upgrades twice annually for a small fee.
